Overview: changes to your food support

This is an update about your food support from the Asylum Seekers Centre. At the top of the page you can translate this information to some other languages.

Thank you for sending us your bank details so quickly to help make this change to your food support. Your first payment is on Monday 4 July 2022.

We will send you a weekly payment directly to your bank account instead of sending you supermarket vouchers. The amount that you will receive may have increased, because the cost of food is increasing in Australia.

We hope that by sending payments instead of vouchers, you will have more choice in the food you buy and where you shop.

This payment is for daily living expenses which includes food and groceries. It can also help you buy other essential items and pay bills.
