Learn moreWhere possible the Asylum Seekers Centre distributes material donations to people in Sydney. However, due to our limited storage space and resources, we are not able to accept all goods offered to us.
Below is a list of the items we are currently able to accept and some alternative options for your support.
We appreciate you working with us to meet the needs of people in our community.
Why do we need them?
Right now, people seeking asylum are facing nights with nowhere to sleep and nothing to eat. A crisis pack can provide comfort and relief when it’s needed most.
Each pack contains essentials like a towel, toiletries, food, drink bottle, cutlery, and more (see detailed list of items below). You can build a crisis pack for less than $60 and donate it to our centre in Newtown.
Why do we only need 25 packs?
Due to limited storage, we cannot accept more than 25 packs this month. Please click the button below to notify us of your intention to donate to help us manage numbers.
Note: this is an ongoing need, we will be accepting more packs in the following months.
Please ensure your backpack includes ALL of the following items (partial donations are not accepted). Each bag of essential items approximately costs $55-60.
We’ve made it easy – you can click the links below to purchase the exact items online.
Note on substitutions:
You may substitute brands, colours or flavours – particularly if they are out of stock, but please ensure that each item is the same size as listed. This helps ensure that all items fit properly in the backpack and that every community member receives the same quality and type of care.
We want to be fair to everyone we serve — your consistency helps make that possible. Thank you!
