Donate Material Goods

Thank you for your generosity towards people seeking asylum.

Where possible the Asylum Seekers Centre distributes material donations to people in Sydney. However, due to our limited storage space and resources, we are not able to accept all goods offered to us.

Below is a list of the items we are currently able to accept and some alternative options for your support.

We appreciate you working with us to meet the needs of people in our community.

Donate material goods - such as nappies, food vouchers, school supplies, toiletries, etc - for asylum seekers in Sydney.

Our current material needs

  • Emergency kits for crisis cases
    • Shampoo (up to 500ml)
    • Toothpaste
    • Toothbrush – Twin packs
    • Deodorant (Aerosol preferred)
    • Bodywash (up to 500ml)
    • Body lotion (up to 400m)
    • Bath towel
    • Blow up camping mattresses / camping mattresses
    Baby supplies
    • Nappies (size 4/5/6)
    • Baby wipes
    Phones and laptops
    • Cheap phones or old phones

    Back to school
    • Backpacks with basic school supplies

Please email fundraising@asylumseekerscentre.org.au to receive delivery instructions.

These goods will be distributed at our Family Days in our Auburn hub.

Furniture, household goods, books, casual clothes

We often call on the organisations below to provide for those we support, when we don’t have the room to store such items ourselves.

Devices (mobile phones, laptops and tablets) are essential for people to study, to work, to keep connected to friends and family, as well as to access essential services.

We invite people from the wider community (including corporate volunteers) to be part of our Community Lunch Program; cooking, serving and sharing lunch with people seeking asylum in our community. A great team bonding activity!
