- Details: Spoken and Written English Beginners 1 course is a short introductory course to support you in improving your workplace English skills in preparation for employment or to study a vocational course. You will learn the basics of English grammar and writing, how to operate a computer, as well as various numeracy skills to help you in the workplace or study environment. Skills you will learn include:
- Use basic grammar
- Use beginning whole number skills and money up to one hundred for work
- Use beginning skills related to time and 2D shapes for work
- Take part in conversations about highly familiar topics
- Recognise highly familiar workplace signs and symbols
- Write personal details on basic workplace forms
- Read a very limited range of words and very simple texts
- Begin to read and write the English alphabet
- Write a limited range of words and very simple sentences
