On Thursday 4 April, the Asylum Seekers Centre, together with Galaxy Foundation hosted an Iftar dinner in Auburn for members of our wonderful community. The evening was an opportunity for those who celebrate Ramadan to come together and break their fast as a community.
this year’s Iftar event also acknowledged that it is also a painful time for members of this community and many hearts are heavy right now. We stand in solidarity with people impacted by war and famine, and those forced to be separated from family at this time.
Ramadan Mubarak to those who joined us, and thank you to the volunteers and families who gave their time.
