Alumni Program

Friends of ASC

The “Friends of ASC” Alumni Program is a community of former clients that stay connected and support one another beyond their time with us.

You will always be a valued part of the ASC

Why be part of Friends of ASC?

As part of the Alumni Program, you’ll have opportunities to:

Connect & belong
Join us at our Newtown centre for weekly community lunches (Tuesday-Friday) and regular social gatherings. Reconnect with familiar faces and build new, supportive relationships with others who share similar experiences.

Give back as a volunteer
Stay involved by contributing your time, skills, and lived experience to ASC programs and events. Your insight can make a real difference to others currently on their journey.

Grow as a leader & advocate
Access workshops and opportunities designed to build your confidence and skills. Share your story, strengthen your voice, and be part of creating positive change.

How it works:
The Friends of ASC Alumni Program is open to anyone who has previously received support from ASC.

Enrolment is automatic!
Once your file is closed or you are granted a Protection Visa (PV), you become a valued member of our Alumni network. You will receive regular updates on upcoming workshops, events, and community opportunities.

If you have any questions, would like more information, or need to update your contact details, please email: novela.corda@asylumseekerscentre.org.au

Hear from ASC alumni:

“I think it would be nice to contribute and support others who are in similar situations. I would like to give back. Also, this is a great way to stay in touch with ASC, our first home.”
