We’re here to help

Supporting your health

The Asylum Seekers Centre’s on-site health clinic provides primary healthcare to many people seeking asylum who would otherwise go without care, offering nurse, GP and physiotherapy appointments, access to medications and specialist services, fee waivers, and health navigators who accompany and support clients through the health system.

You can book in to see a nurse between 10am to 4pm, five days a week.

We can help with:

  • Appointments with a registered nurse, GP and/or physiotherapist
  • Connecting to specialist health services
  • Help with getting medications
  • Getting access to immunisations, medical imaging, pathology services, counselling, dental and optometry (glasses)
  • Health navigation to medical appointments organised by the ASC health nurses
  • Health education and workshops
  • Fee waivers (for clients without Medicare)

If you need to pay a fee for emergency treatment, or get public hospital outpatient services, we can help.

Many of our health clinic services are supplied pro-bono by our broad network of healthcare partners, in particular Sydney Local Health District.
