The NSW State Homelessness strategy promises that homelessness should be “rare, brief, and non-recurring” – but people seeking asylum are too often excluded from these goals.

People seeking asylum have been forced to flee their homes – escaping violence, war, and/or persecution – only to arrive in Australia and find themselves caught in a broken system and facing homelessness. This is the story of Ayan and many other members of our community.
